Vaccination guidelines

People often ask if we carry the 1-year or 3-year vaccinations. Truth is, we have both. Determining if your pet needs a 1-year or 3-year vaccination depends on a lot of factors. No one vaccine protocol fits all pets. So, we’ll ask you things like:

Does your cat go outside? How often? Are other cats in your area?

When was your pet’s last vaccine given? What type was it?

Do you take your dog to dog parks? Boarding kennels? Walks around the neighborhood?

Do friends or family bring their pets over to visit?

Lifestyle questions like this are what shape our decision as to whether your dog or cat should get a 1-year or 3-year vaccine. And you, the owner, are part of that decision-making process! We generally recommend 3-year vaccines on most cats; dogs however, have more variability.
