Pet Pictures with Santa – for a Cause
The Belleville Area Humane Society will be at Tribout’s Carnival Supply on Dec 7, 14, and 21 from 11-3. Your pet’s photo with Santa in a magnetic holiday frame costs just $10. They’ll also be selling BAHS T-shirts and other giftable items.
Petsmart is offering a unique way to have your pet’s photo with Santa this year. You bring your own camera and take your own photo of your pet sitting on Santa’s lap. And, the $5 donation per photo goes entirely to area rescue groups. Dates are Dec 7 and Dec 14 from 11-4.
The O’Fallon, and Glen Carbon stores will benefit Partners for Pets and Benld Adopt-A-Pet .
The Belleville store will benefit Monroe County Humane Society and the Highland Animal Shelter.

Metro-East Humane Society in Madison County is selling 2014 calendars, featuring their alumni. You can buy them at the shelter for $10, or they’ll mail you one for $12.50!

New Year for Strays
A large trivia night fundraiser is being held in St. Louis that benefits eleven local animal welfare organizations. It’s January 4 at 7pm. Metro-East groups getting some proceeds include the Belleville Area Humane Society, Monroe County Humane Society, and Gateway Pet Guardians.

Hard-to-shop-for person on your list?
How about “adopting” a cat in their honor? You can adopt “Buttons” or “Bows” for $25 each. You’ll receive a plush cat (rather than a real cat!) and all proceeds go to the real, live homeless kitties in the Animal House Shelter in St. Louis. It’s the next best thing to adoption – without a litterbox to clean.
