With the forecasted stormy weather, I have received a lot of questions about “storm anxiety” medication. Thought it was worth mentioning to those who may not have heard of it, but a relatively new product called a Thundershirt has given several of my patients relief during storms. It’s doesn’t make it all better, but makes the scary noises tolerable. It’s basically just a shirt that you wrap tightly around your dog – kinda like a hug they can wear. I have many owners who swear by it! It sure beats having to give your dog a pill that may have unpredictable results!
Food for thought….and kicking myself for not having thought of it first!
